Sotos Actions collectives a lancé une série d’environ 45 actions collectives relatives à la fixation des prix alléguée de différentes pièces automobiles. Ces poursuites allèguent que les défenderesses ont conclu des ententes illégales en coulisses pour truquer les soumissions et artificiellement gonfler les prix des pièces automobiles d’environ 1999 à 2012.

Sotos Actions collectives mène ces actions en collaboration avec les bureaux d’avocats Siskinds LLP de London, Ontario, Siskinds Desmeules de Québec, et Camp Fiorante Matthews Mogerman de Vancouver, Colombie-Britannique.

June 17, 2022:

Settlements have been reached in the Body Sealing Parts, Ceramic Substrates and Plastic Interior Trim class actions with the Bosal, Corning, Diamond, Green Tokai, Kiekert, Nachi and Sanden defendants, including Discontinuances against Adient and Johnson Controls in the Plastic Interior Trim action.  The settlements are subject to court approval in Ontario, British Columbia and/or Quebec.

The Ontario Court will hold a hearing by video (which you can attend by contacting Class Counsel) to decide whether to approve these settlements on July 12, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. and the Quebec Court will hold a hearing by videoconference (https://url.justice.gouv.qc.ca/fP5rCH) to decide whether to approve some of these settlements on July 6, 2022 at 3:30 p.m.

The settlement funds (less approved fees and expenses) are being held in trust for the benefit of settlement class members.

November 8, 2021:

A settlement has been reached in the autolights action with the Stanley group of defendants.

The settlement is subject to court approval in Ontario, British Columbia and Quebec.

The Ontario Court approved this settlement on October 28. The Quebec Court will hold a hearing to decide whether to approve this settlement virtually on November 10.

The British Columbia Supreme Court hearing to approve this settlement will proceed virtually via Microsoft Teams before Mr. Justice Basran at 9:00am on November 23, 2021.  If you wish to attend the hearing please contact Aisling Slevin at aslevin@cfmlawyers.ca for more details.
