Prior to joining Sotos, Michelle articled at the Crown Law Office – Civil of the Ministry of Attorney General of Ontario, where she worked on significant civil, commercial and class action litigation against the Province.

Michelle graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2019. During law school, she acted as the President of Osgoode’s Mooting Society and competed in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot, where she placed as a top ten oralist in Canada. While obtaining her law degree at Osgoode Hall Law School, Michelle also volunteered as a court support worker with Pro Bono Students Ontario, and worked as a student caseworker at the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic, which provides legal services to victims of domestic violence.

Michelle is proficient in Russian.

Before attending law school, Michelle was a competitive ballroom dancer, and competed nationally across Canada.

In her spare time, Michelle enjoys playing board games, watching documentaries and going for hikes with her dog Fenton.
